The township said anyone who visited the business May 30 between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. may have been exposed.
A New York City resident who has a confirmed case of the highly contagious disease is the source of the possible outbreak, officials said.
The department recommends that anyone who visited the location on that date and between those times should contact a health provider immediately to discuss potential exposure and risk of developing the illness.
People who have been exposed are at risk if they have not been vaccinated or have never had the disease. Symptoms -- including rash, high fever, cough, runny nose and red, watery eyes -- can develop as late as June 20 if exposure occurred on May 30.
The disease can also can cause serious complications such as pneumonia and encephalitis (swelling of the brain). Pregnant women who are exposed may have low-birthweight babies, miscarriages or premature births.
